FUN AT SUMMER CAMP 6-14 YEARS

Each day at Blue Lake is filled with fun activities that will build confidence, critical thinking, and team work. Campers are continually supported, encouraged, and set up for success.

Some programs, like Cabin Activities, are done in small groups and others, like Capture the Flag, involve everyone. Together you will complete duties, tackle challenges, and make new life-long friends along the way.

Join the Beach Party on the sandy shore of Blue Lake! Go for a swim, or take a trip in one of our canoes. If you love to fish, bring your rod and tackle and catch one of our rainbow trout. Bring your mountain bike and helmet and join other bikers and staff on one of our many trails.

At Blue Lake Centre, our focus is environment education. Camp is one big outdoor science lab!  Through our ECOFUN programs campers learn the basics of water, trees, soil, wildlife, and conservation in a way that makes exploring the world inspiring and hands on. ECOFUN programs are always fun and active.

We emphasize creativity, imagination and adventure in a safe, fun-filled atmosphere designed to encourage growth and the development of self-confidence in an environment of co-operation rather than competition. We provide a low camper to leader ratio and our highly qualified staff ensure the safety of campers while at Blue Lake Centre.

UNDER THE STARS OVERNIGHT HIKE OPTIONS

(Available to 4 day and 6 day camps only)

While camp is a rustic centre, we can really get into the wilds!  Tuesday night is a chance to sleep under the stars, cook over a campfire and get a way from it all. Our 6 day and 4 day camps give your campers the choice of selecting this incredible activity or just relax and hang out at camp. Tuesday afternoon campers that have selected this option will pack up their gear (Your camper will need some specialized equipment IE a proper backpack), and head to another location. Younger campers will hike down 2 kilometers to Whitetail lake and older campers will hike 3.5 kilometers  down to McIvers Lake.

If you are on the Whitetail Lake trip, you will have the chance to swim in the warm clear waters at Whitetail, have a water fight and spy the HUGE trout swimming along the shoreline. The  McIvers adventurers will travel down a trail through dense mature forests and around Turtle Lake before arriving in time for a dip in the warm turquoise blue waters of McIvers.

Once you have cooled off from your hike, camp will be set up, dinners made and then the whitetail adventurers will play a game and can swim some more, Whitetail is so warm in the summer, while the McIvers adventurers will head to the opposite side of the lake and take part in the MUD-FIGHT! Campfire songs and stories end our day and a chance to see shooting stars from your sleeping bag.

The morning finds you making breakfast, maybe a quick swim in the lake and packing up before heading back up the trail and back to camp in time for Lunch.

For those campers who would rather hang around camp, try the in-trip, our in-trip adventurers will hike around Blue Lake in the afternoon, go for a swim or canoe ride, make dinner over our campfire, and sleep under the stars in camp.
